January 10, 2023: Manchester, KY 40962 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) and the host Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY), saw Rockcastle County's basketball squad overcome Clay County by a tally of 60-45.
With the victory, Rockcastle County improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Casey County (Liberty, KY) to confront the Rebels in a District 47 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Casey County lost 67-44 in their recent league challenge against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY) in a District 49 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Clay County will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 90-12 league loss to North Laurel (London, KY).
