Florida High School Basketball - Dixie County fells Lafayette

January 10, 2023: Mayo, FL 32066

Dixie County Bears (Cross City, FL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lafayette Hornets (Mayo, FL), 55-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dixie County upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Bears travel to Union County (Lake Butler, FL) to play the Fightin' Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Fightin' Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-9. Union County lost 36-23 in their recent non-league bout against Fort White (Fort White, FL)

Next up, the Hornets play the Fort White Indians (Fort White, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 36-23 non-league win over Union County (Lake Butler, FL).
