Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX), 57-11 in a league bout.

With the win, Veterans Memorial upgrades its record to 20-4 on the season. The Chargers travel to Porter (Brownsville, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, January 13. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 0-12.

Next up, the Hawks play the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, January 13. Harlingen South will attempt to upgrade on its 13-15 season record.
