The Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Weldon Chargers to 37 in the Vikings league victory on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northampton County for a 1A Conference 9 contest on Thursday, January 12. Northwest Halifax will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 76-36 league win over Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-0.

The Chargers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Pride come into the 1A Conference 9 contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, KIPP Pride was nudged by North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 64-40, in a league contest.
