The Perkins County Plainsmen basketball team (Grant, NE), was nudged 45-38 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Paxton Tigers (Paxton, NE)

The Tigers now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Creek Valley for a D2 District 10 battle on Thursday, January 12. Paxton will battle a Storm team coming off a 63-10 non-league loss to Morrill (Morrill, NE). The Storm record now stands at 0-7.

The Plainsmen (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Chase County (Imperial, NE). The Longhorns come into the non-league battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Chase County was nudged by Southern Valley (Oxford, NE), 50-38, in a non-league battle.
