North Carolina High School Basketball - First Flight tops Holmes
January 10, 2023: Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) and the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), saw First Flight's basketball squad knock off Holmes by a count of 50-30.
With the victory, First Flight upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Pasquotank County won 22-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Currituck County (Barco, NC)
Next up, the Aces play the Albemarle School Colts (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Holmes will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 41-21 league loss to Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC).
