South Carolina High School Basketball - Palmetto can't hold off Belton-Honea Path
January 10, 2024: Honea Path, SC 29654 The Palmetto Mustangs basketball team (Williamston, SC), was nudged 61-54 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Belton-Honea Path Bears (Honea Path, SC)
The Bears now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fountain Inn for a AAA Region 2 battle on Friday, January 12. Belton-Honea Path will battle a Fury team coming off a 76-42 league loss to Powdersville (Greenville, SC). The Fury record now stands at 10-7.
The Mustangs (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Wren (Piedmont, SC). The Hurricanes come into the AAA Region 2 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Wren edged Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC), 79-67, in a non-league battle.
