Arkansas High School Basketball - Rivercrest edges Izard County
January 10, 2024: Wilson, AR 72395 The Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), 58-51 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Colts (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Osceola (Osceola, AR). The Seminoles go into the 3A Region 3 test with a 9-11 record. In their last test, Osceola got by Piggott (Piggott, AR), 76-37, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they travel to Marshall for a 2A Region 2 test on Friday, January 12. Izard County will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 79-65 league win over Quitman (Quitman, AR). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-6.
