The Montgomery Aztecs basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Otay Ranch Mustangs to 34 in the Aztecs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Aztecs now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bonita Vista for a Mesa contest on Friday, January 12. Montgomery will battle a Barons team coming off a 82-69 league loss to Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA). The Barons record now stands at 11-8.

The Mustangs (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against San Ysidro (San Diego, CA). The Cougars enter the Mesa contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, San Ysidro was routed by Olympian (Chula Vista, CA), 59-50, in a non-league contest.
