Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) and the visiting Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), saw Monroe's basketball squad wallop Crisp County by a count of 78-14.

With the victory, Monroe upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host Dougherty (Albany, GA) to play the Trojans in a AAA Region 1 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Dougherty won 62-39 in their recent league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, GA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) in a AAA Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Crisp County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 82-54 non-league win over Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy (Dallas, TX).
