Connecticut High School Basketball - Nonnewaug holds off Terryville
January 10, 2024: Woodbury, CT 06798 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) and the visiting Terryville Kangaroos (Terryville, CT), saw Nonnewaug's basketball squad hold off Terryville by a tally of 46-40.
With the victory, Nonnewaug improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Wheeler (North Stonington, CT) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-6.
Next up, the Kangaroos confront the Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT) in a Berkshire challenge, on Friday, January 12. Terryville will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 74-40 league loss to Thomaston (Thomaston, CT).
