The North Lenoir Hawks basketball team (LaGrange, NC), was nudged 39-34 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs (Teachey, NC)

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southwest Onslow for a 2A East Central battle on Friday, January 12. Wallace-Rose Hill will battle a Stallions team coming off a 50-31 league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 13-0.

The Hawks (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers come into the 2A East Central battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, James Kenan was nudged by East Duplin (Beulaville, NC), 56-22, in a league battle.
