In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Glen Ridge Ridgers basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the American History Eagles.

The Ridgers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Shabazz (Newark, NJ). The Bulldogs go into the Super Essex - Independence contest with a 3-5 record.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Tech Panthers (Newark, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. American History will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record.
