In Friday's league contest, the visiting Desert Pines Jaguars basketball team scored a big 83-55 triumph over the Spring Valley Grizzlies.

The Jaguars (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Foothill (Henderson, NV). The Falcons go into the 5A Southern contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Foothill was trounced by Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV), 76-53, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 13. Spring Valley will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 7-9 record after their 57-53 league win over Desert Oasis (Las Vegas, NV).
