Texas High School Basketball - Sweetwater overwhelms Grape Creek
January 10, 2025: Sweetwater, TX 79556 The Sweetwater Mustangs basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Grape Creek Eagles to 32 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now possess a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Merkel for a 3A Region I District 6 game on Tuesday, January 14. Sweetwater will confront a Badgers team coming off a 63-34 league loss to San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 6-14.
With the loss, Grape Creek falls to 8-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy (Midland, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-5.
