The John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball were winner over the host John Paul II Guardians (New Braunfels, TX), 53-38 in Friday's league bout.

The Centurions now possess a 14-12 record. They play next when they host Holy Cross for a TAPPS 4A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 14. John Paul II will play a Knights team coming off a 51-39 league loss to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX). The Knights record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, John Paul II falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Guardians travel to Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Angels in a TAPPS 4A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Angels go into the bout with a record of 9-15. Incarnate Word Academy won 48-35 in their recent league bout against The Christian School at Castle Hills (San Antonio, TX)
