The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Pinewood Christian Patriots (Bellville, GA) and the host St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), observed Pinewood Christian's basketball team overcome St. Andrew's by a margin of 35-20.

The Patriots (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA). The Gators come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 2 challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Bulloch Academy defeated Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA), 37-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11.
