January 11, 2022: Chillicothe, IL 61523 The Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts basketball team (Chillicothe, IL), was overwhelmed 65-38 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL)
The Raiders now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pekin for a Mid-Illini battle on Friday, January 14. East Peoria will battle a Dragons team coming off a 45-41 league loss to Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 2-10.
The Grey Ghosts (2-16) will now prepare for their battle against St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Sabers come into the Illini Prairie battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, St. Thomas More was crushed by Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL), 69-55, in a league outing.
