Iowa High School Basketball - Johnston can't hold off Southeast Polk
January 11, 2022: Pleasant Hill, IA 50327 The Southeast Polk Rams basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Johnston Dragons to 63 in the Rams non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rams now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waukee for a Central Iowa Metro - East contest on Friday, January 14. Southeast Polk will battle a Warriors team coming off a 51-47 non-league win over Urbandale (Urbandale, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-4.
The Dragons (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines, IA). The Maroons enter the Central Iowa Metro - West contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Dowling Catholic was nudged by North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA), 56-44, in a non-league contest.
