The Needville Bluejays basketball team (Needville, TX), was toppled 62-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX)

The Bulldogs now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Marque for a 4A Region IV District 25 battle on Friday, January 14. Sweeny will confront a Cougars team coming off a 76-38 non-league loss to Episcopal (Bellaire, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 15-9.

The Bluejays (3-18) will now prepare for their battle against Bay City (Bay City, TX). The Blackcats come into the 4A Region IV District 25 battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Bay City was toppled by Brazosport (Freeport, TX), 77-40, in a league battle.
