The Nemaha Central Thunder basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones to 25 in the Thunder non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Thunder now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson West for a non-league contest on Friday, January 14. Nemaha Central will battle a Tigers team coming off a 58-29 non-league loss to Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.

The Cyclones (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Holton (Holton, KS). The Wildcats come into the Big Seven contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Holton triumphed over Perry-Lecompton (Perry, KS), 52-45, in a non-league contest.
