The Aquinas Monarchs basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Twin River Titans to 37 in the Monarchs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Monarchs now sport a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grand Island Central Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, January 14. Aquinas will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 47-35 non-league loss to York (York, NE). The Crusaders record now stands at 9-4.

The Titans (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cross County (Stromsburg, NE). The Cougars enter the D1 District 5 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Cross County was nudged by Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE), 53-52, in a non-league contest.
