Michigan High School Basketball - Marquette overwhelms Ishpeming
January 11, 2023: Marquette, MI 49855 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Marquette Redmen (Marquette, MI) and the visiting Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), saw Marquette's basketball squad wallop Ishpeming by a tally of 67-28.
With the victory, Marquette improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Redmen host Menominee (Menominee, MI) to confront the Maroons in a Great Northern U.P. challenge on Friday, January 13. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Menominee won 76-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Gibraltar (Fish Creek, WI)
Next up, the Hematites confront the Negaunee Miners (Negaunee, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula challenge, on Friday, January 13. Ishpeming will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 65-36 league win over Calumet (Calumet, MI).
