January 11, 2023: Joliet, IL 60432 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) and the host Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), saw Sandburg's basketball squad overcome Joliet Central by a tally of 47-33.
With the victory, Sandburg improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Bremen (Midlothian, IL) to confront the Braves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Bremen lost 66-28 in their recent league challenge against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL)
Next up, the Steelmen confront the West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie challenge, on Friday, January 13. Joliet Central will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Blackhawks come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 58-54 league win over Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL).
