Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way West nudges Joliet Central
January 18, 2023: New Lenox, IL 60451 Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 60-53 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lincoln-Way West upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Warriors travel to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Bolingbrook won 71-61 in their recent league bout against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL)
Next up, the Steelmen clash with the Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie bout, on Friday, January 20. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 50-26 league loss to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL).
