The Jonesboro Hurricane basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Vilonia Eagles to 42 in the Hurricane non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hurricane now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Little Rock for a 6A Central contest on Friday, January 13. Jonesboro will meet a Charging Wildcats team coming off a 66-62 league win over Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR). The Charging Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.

The Eagles (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against ESTEM (Little Rock, AR). The Mets enter the 5A Central contest with a 6-11 record.
