Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Quincy upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Blue Devils host Springfield (Springfield, IL) to play the Senators in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Senators go into the bout with a record of 10-9.

Next up, the Maple Leafs play the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Geneseo will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Boilermakers go into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 62-37 league win over Mendota (Mendota, IL).
