Virginia High School Basketball - King George nips James Monroe
January 11, 2023: King George, VA 22485 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the King George Foxes (King George, VA) and the visiting James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), saw King George's basketball squad hold off James Monroe by a count of 41-38.
With the victory, King George upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Foxes travel to Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA) to play the Knights in a Battlefield challenge on Friday, January 13. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 1-10. Spotsylvania lost 50-34 in their recent league challenge against James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA)
Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Caroline Cavaliers (Milford, VA) in a Battlefield challenge, on Friday, January 13. James Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 61-24 league loss to Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA).
