January 11, 2023: Wilkesboro, NC 28697 The Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 67-51 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their test against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, East Wilkes notched a victory over North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 55-18, in a non-league test.
The Blackhawks now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host East Surry for a non-league test on Friday, January 13. West Wilkes will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 75-46 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-0.
