New Jersey High School Basketball - Willingboro holds off Allentown
January 11, 2024: Allentown, NJ 08501 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Willingboro Chimeras (Willingboro, NJ) and the host Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ), saw Willingboro's basketball squad hold off Allentown by a tally of 55-54.
With the victory, Willingboro improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Chimeras travel to Delran (Delran, NJ) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Delran lost 51-45 in their recent non-league challenge against STEMCivics (Ewing, NJ)
Next up, the Redbirds confront the Hamilton Hornets (Hamilton, NJ) in a Colonial Valley challenge, on Friday, January 12. Allentown will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 68-34 league win over Princeton (Princeton, NJ).
