Washington High School Basketball - Bellingham overwhelmed by Anacortes
January 11, 2024: Bellingham, WA 98225 The Anacortes Seahawks basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Bellingham Bayhawks to 44 in the Seahawks league victory on Thursday.
The Seahawks now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lynden Christian for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Saturday, January 13. Anacortes will battle a Lyncs team coming off a 0-0 league Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Lyncs record now stands at 13-0.
The Bayhawks (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Arlington, WA). The Cougars come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Lakewood triumphed over Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 79-67, in a league contest.
