Maine High School Basketball - Calais crushes Woodland
January 11, 2024: Baileyville, ME 04694 Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME), 84-40 in a league bout.
With the victory, Calais upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Narraguagus (Harrington, ME) to play the Knights in a C North bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Narraguagus lost 59-23 in their recent non-league bout against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME)
Next up, the Dragons play the George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) in a C North bout, on Friday, January 12. Woodland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 64-56 league win over Sumner (East Sullivan, ME).
