Alabama High School Basketball - Shoals Christian overwhelms Cherokee
January 11, 2024: Florence, AL 35633 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Shoals Christian Flame (Florence, AL) and the visiting Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL), saw Shoals Christian's basketball squad wallop Cherokee by a tally of 78-49.
With the victory, Shoals Christian improves its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Flame travel to Covenant Christian (Tuscumbia, AL) to confront the Eagles in a 1A Area 16 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-8. Covenant Christian won 69-36 in their recent league challenge against Cherokee (Cherokee, AL)
Next up, the Indians confront the Waterloo Cougars (Waterloo, AL) in a 1A Area 16 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Cherokee will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 72-39 league loss to Shoals Christian (Florence, AL).
