In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Mid Valley Spartans basketball team scored a decisive 65-15 triumph over the Forest City Foresters.

In their next game, the Spartans meet the Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 match, on Monday, January 15. Mid Valley will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record.
