Tennessee High School Basketball - Ooltewah nips Hixson
January 11, 2024: Hixson, TN 37343 Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN), 48-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ooltewah upgrades its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Owls travel to East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN) to play the Hurricanes in a 4A District 6 bout on Friday, January 12. The Hurricanes come into the battle with a record of 1-12. East Hamilton lost 82-46 in their recent non-league battle against Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN)
The Wildcats (2-15) will now prepare for their battle against CSTHEA Patriots (Chattanooga, TN). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 10-15 record. In their last battle, CSTHEA Patriots edged Georgia-Cumberland Academy (Calhoun, GA), 84-27, in a non-league battle.
