New York High School Basketball - Nyack topped by Tappan Zee
January 11, 2024: Orangeburg, NY 10962 The Tappan Zee Dutchmen basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Nyack Red Hawks to 39 in the Dutchmen league victory on Thursday.
The Dutchmen now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marlboro Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Tappan Zee will battle a Dukes team coming off a 51-40 non-league win over Chapel Field Christian (Pine Bush, NY). The Dukes record now stands at 2-2.
The Red Hawks (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pearl River (Pearl River, NY). The Pirates come into the Section 1 Conference 2B contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Pearl River prevailed over Nanuet (Nanuet, NY), 53-38, in a league contest.
