Florida High School Basketball - Palm Harbor University nudges Tarpon Springs
January 11, 2024: Palm Harbor, FL 34683 Palm Harbor University Hurricanes (Palm Harbor, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL), 44-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Palm Harbor University upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Hurricanes host St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, FL) to clash with the Green Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Green Devils go into the bout with a record of 10-5. St. Petersburg won 52-51 in their recent non-league bout against Clearwater (Clearwater, FL)
Next up, the Spongers clash with the Dunedin Falcons (Dunedin, FL) in a 4A District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Tarpon Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 62-41 non-league loss to Anclote (Holiday, FL).
