Louisiana High School Basketball - Varnado knocked off by Pearl River
January 11, 2024: Angie, LA 70426 The Pearl River Rebels basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Varnado Wildcats to 61 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Rebels now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Pearl River will meet a Swamp Owls team coming off a 66-35 non-league win over Fisher (Lafitte, LA). The Swamp Owls record now stands at 6-10.
The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record.
