Virginia High School Basketball - Carroll County tops Floyd County
January 11, 2024: Floyd, VA 24091 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) and the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), saw Carroll County's basketball squad knock off Floyd County by a count of 71-54.
With the victory, Carroll County upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to play the Bobcats in a Three Rivers challenge on Friday, January 19. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-5.
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Monday, January 15. Floyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 64-21 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA).
