January 11, 2024: Homerville, GA 31634 The Echols County Wildcats basketball team (Statenville, GA), was overwhelmed 61-24 in Thursday's league battle with the host Clinch County Panthers (Homerville, GA)
The Panthers now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atkinson County for a A D2 Region 2 battle on Friday, January 12. Clinch County will confront a Rebels team coming off a 53-42 league win over Lanier County (Lakeland, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 10-5.
The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Titans come into the A D2 Region 2 battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Turner County trounced Charlton County (Folkston, GA), 38-37, in a league battle.
