Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cowanesque Valley Indians (Westfield, PA) and the visiting Sayre Redskins (Sayre, PA), saw Cowanesque Valley's basketball squad hold off Sayre by a tally of 29-27.

With the victory, Cowanesque Valley improves its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Troy (Troy, PA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Troy won 64-32 in their recent league challenge against Towanda (Towanda, PA)
