Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area tops Harbor Creek
January 11, 2024: New Castle, PA 16101 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Harbor Creek Huskies (Harborcreek, PA), saw Union Area's basketball squad knock off Harbor Creek by a tally of 41-29.
With the victory, Union Area improves its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Scotties host Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to play the in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Eden Christian Academy won 50-27 in their recent non-league challenge against West Greene (Waynesburg, PA)
Next up, the Huskies play the Greenville Trojans (Greenville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. Harbor Creek will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 48-21 non-league loss to West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA).
