Pennsylvania High School Basketball - West Middlesex nips Lakeview
January 11, 2024: West Middlesex, PA 16159 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) and the visiting Lakeview Sailors (Stoneboro, PA), saw West Middlesex's basketball squad hold off Lakeview by a tally of 40-36.
With the victory, West Middlesex improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Big Reds host Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Neshannock won 48-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA)
Next up, the Sailors play the Jamestown Muskies (Jamestown, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Lakeview will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Muskies come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 51-15 league loss to Farrell (Farrell, PA).
