Louisiana High School Basketball - West Ouachita nips Simsboro
January 11, 2024: Simsboro, LA 71275 West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Simsboro Tigers (Simsboro, LA), 25-21 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Ouachita upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Alexandria (Alexandria, LA) to play the Trojans in a 5A District 2 bout on Friday, January 12. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Alexandria won 66-51 in their recent non-league bout against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs (Gibsland, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Simsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record.
