Louisiana High School Basketball - Quitman holds off West Ouachita
January 5, 2024: West Monroe, LA 71292 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Quitman Wolverines (Quitman, LA) and the host West Ouachita Chiefs (West Monroe, LA), saw Quitman's basketball squad hold off West Ouachita by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Quitman improves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Cedar Creek (Ruston, LA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 12. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 9-8.
Next up, the Chiefs confront the Ouachita Christian Eagles (Monroe, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 8. West Ouachita will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 43-25 non-league win over Family Community Christian (Winnsboro, LA).
