New York High School Basketball - Lackawanna overwhelms Griffith Institute
January 11, 2024: Springville, NY 14141 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lackawanna Steelers (Lackawanna, NY) and the host Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY), saw Lackawanna's basketball squad wallop Griffith Institute by a tally of 66-44.
With the victory, Lackawanna improves its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Steelers travel to St. Francis (Hamburg, NY) to confront the Red Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-2.
Next up, the Griffins confront the Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Griffith Institute will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
