January 11, 2025: Amber, OK 73004 Southwest Covenant Patriots (Yukon, OK) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Amber-Pocasset Panthers (Amber, OK), 54-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Southwest Covenant upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Patriots host Cyril (Cyril, OK) to face the Pirates in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 6-3. Cyril won 61-51 in their recent non-league match against Calumet (Calumet, OK)
The Panthers now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alex for a Grady County match on Tuesday, January 14. Amber-Pocasset will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 66-28 non-league loss to Stratford (Stratford, OK). The Longhorns record now stands at 5-6.
