The Grand Island Islanders basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Buena Vista Bison to 36 in the Islanders non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Islanders now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Gretna East for a non-league game on Friday, January 17.

With the loss, Buena Vista falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Bison host Bishop Neumann (Wahoo, NE) to confront the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14.
