January 11, 2025: Manlius, IL 61338 St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 55-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, St. Bede advances its record to 8-11 on the year. The Bruins host Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL) to face the Royal Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Royal Lions enter the match with a record of 14-0. Rockford Christian won 87-78 in their recent non-league match against Lutheran (Rockford, IL)
The Storm now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Abingdon/Avon for a Lincoln Trail match on Tuesday, January 14. Bureau Valley will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 60-34 league win over Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 8-9.
