Maine High School Basketball - John Bapst Memorial holds off Washington Academy
January 11, 2025: East Machias, ME 04630 The John Bapst Memorial Crusaders basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Washington Academy Raiders to 60 in the Crusaders league triumph on Saturday.
The Crusaders now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Mount Desert Island for a B North game on Wednesday, January 15. John Bapst Memorial will confront a Trojans team coming off a 61-55 league loss to Orono (Orono, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Washington Academy falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to confront the Ponies in a B North game on Monday, January 13. The Ponies go into the game with a record of 2-6. Foxcroft Academy won 60-31 in their recent non-league game against Dexter (Dexter, ME)
